I stood there staring at my phone in the snow on a corner in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Waiting for google maps to finally correctly pinpoint my location after being underground on the subway. I was on my way to photograph André Holland for The New York Times Sunday Routine. There are a lot of times when you show up to a shoot like this and you meet the entire entourage before you see your subject. With André this was different. He opened the door, shook my hand, offered me some fruit and started chatting. After a while I faded into the scene doing what I do while he did his thing. Link to story here.
