LISBON, PORTUGAL â June 1, 2023:
A used syringe in an area where drug users consume in Lisbon, Portugal on Thursday, June 1, 2023. Daily the Crescer outreach team find and remove used syringes, drug paraphernalia, condoms, and any bloody material, deliver supplies, and assist drug users with the goal of reducing injury and the spread of diseases. The outreach team delivers water, a methadone cocktail, medication and supplies that includes: two syringes, drug paraphernalia, a condom, citric acid, distilled water and sanitation wipes.
